The uplifting and whimsical pop sounds of Lullatone’s Elevator Music collection is part music box, part deceptively clever pop pastiche and mostly loveable tracks perfectly suited for advertising, branding, children’s programming and other tech applications.

Ukulele, recorders, samplers, horns, claps and drum machines permeate these playful tracks including the ultra carnival fun of “Walking on the Sidewalk.” It’s the sounds in anyone’s head waiting in a line or an elevator or in any other idle moment of daily routines.

“Tap On Your Lap” features a whistled melody backed by springy synth lines, click and pop percussive sounds and a light bass line counter melody. Trombones and kiddy keyboards are highlights of “Jazzavator” and the track “Umbrella” introduces light acoustic guitar along with wispy keyboards fortified with finger snap-worthy rhythms. All but one cut, “Matteru (Waiting, We’re Waiting),” are instrumentals.

It’s possible to imagine those at Willy Wonka’s factory or Pee Wee’s Playhouse listening to these tracks in an endless loop. For the rest of us, it’s perfect attention-getting music for quick and witty visuals with the versatility for voiceovers and quick IDs.
